National Engineering Robotics Contest

1. WHAT IS NERC
The National Engineering Robotics Contest (NERC) is a collaboration between the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the STEM Careers Program HEC to promote robotics research in Pakistan. The 19th NERC 2023 will be hosted by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and provides a platform for evaluating and comparing various robotic designs, control algorithms, and architectures.

2 . NERC 19th Edition
NERC 2023 is the 19th edition of this prestigious event where participants from school, colleges and universities from all over Pakistan compete in the 5-day period. NERC offers students from these institutions across the country an opportunity to learn and exhibit their ideas in the field of automation and
robotics.

3. THE THEME
This year we have chosen agriculture as the theme for NERC 2023 with the goal of promoting the use of robots in this industry in Pakistan. The use of robots in agriculture has the potential to increase efficiency and productivity, reduce manual labor, improve crop quality and contribute to economic growth. The event aims to encourage the integration of robots in the agricultural industry in Pakistan.
